Our commitment to the Homes, Hearts, and Habitats of our farmers and our team members extends to protecting them and their families with health insurance.

We already partner with the Kisiizi Hospital and provide health insurance for 50 farmers within the immediate region, and as we extend our distribution supply to include a further 500 farmers, we want to ensure that they are all protected with health insurance.

The big difference between a country like the US and Uganda is that the costs for providing adequate health insurance is thankfully very manageable. Each farmer that we bring in to the insurance plan costs only $100 per annum.

We can achieve our goal of having all of our families protected. 

​

The additional benefit, one that is priceless, is that as more people move into modern medicine and access to health facilities, their need to encroach gorilla habitats to access bush medicine is limited, thus protecting the habitats of the gorillas as well.
